Job Location:

• Commander Third Fleet (C3F) Headquarters

Description:

• Critical role in coordinating with the Tactical Training Group Pacific (TTGP) Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Syndicate to evaluate and certify ships for the complex and evolving BMD mission.
• Actively involved in planning, coordination, and watch standing for C3F exercises and experimentation.
• Aligning ship availability with the necessary training events and exercises, to optimize readiness and ensure certification processes are met in a timely manner.
• Contribute to enhancing the realism of BMD training programs while identifying opportunities to reduce costs.

Travel Requirements:

• Approximately 10% of the year.

Responsibilities:

• Review BMD-related operational documents, such as SPINS, OPGEN, OPTASKs, and other warfare planning materials, as well as BMD Mission Planning documentation.
• Provide technical feedback to ensure operational documents meet standards and training goals.
• Attend meetings and conferences to collaborate on C3F and TTGP BMD subject matter.
• Assist in IAMD design analysis, asset management, and posture recommendations for AEGIS BMD systems to support tasking for BMD ships.
• Support planning and execution of Theater Missile Defense missions, contributing to regional BMD and BMD of the Homeland (BOH) operations.
• Provide technical and operational briefs for Flag and Executive level leadership, documenting outcomes, identifying issues, and offering strategic recommendations to ensure the success of C3F’s BMD missions.
